US Government Comes Clean About UFO’s—Creates A Task Force To Investigate
Following several unexplained incidents observed by the US Military, the Pentagon has announced it is creating a task force that will investigate UFOs. Termed The Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force was just launched in early August. Officials say the task force will provide a boost in efforts by the Naval Intelligence office.
The Defense Department said of the forming of the new task force that is in hope to: “improve its understanding of and gain insight into, the nature and origins of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP)’s (the newest term for UFO’s). The task force’s mission is to detect, analyze, and catalog UAP’s that could potentially pose a threat to US national security.
The spokesman for the department went on to say that both the safety of our citizens is of the greatest concern, and any incursions of any unauthorized aircraft into our skies are taken very seriously. This includes any reports that initially indicate a possible UAP when the individual reporting the incursion is not quite sure what they are observing.
The plans for this task force marks an existing extension that would look into the credible existence of UFO’s but does not intend to try and prove the possible existence of any type of extraterrestrial life.
It is worth advising that as early as 2018, the US Navy has had its own task force in place. It has been ongoing in its investigation of these types of incidents, coordinating any information or data obtained with all US intelligence agencies.
As many may recall, in April of this year, the Defense Department decided to declassify and release three such videos, that depicted US Navy pilots allegedly encountering various UFOs between the years of 2004 and 2015.
In 2017, a report by The New York Times told of the existence of an Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. However, since the time of that report, the Pentagon states that the technology has been officially banned.
Currently, the work of this new task force will remain classified, and out of the public preview. However, this could change if the Senate and House adopt its Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s proposal, which then makes it mandatory to make such reports unclassified.
Either way, we had heard for decades, even when ordinary creditable citizens reported them, that UFO’s (or UAP’s as they are referred to now,) do not nor have ever existed. I guess now our government is coming clean, making this writer wonder what else we will learn about these UAP’s in the coming months and years.
