LeBron Fantastic in Return Home, Lakers Defeat Cavs 115-108

LeBron James returned home to Cleveland but didn’t have any emotions towards his Cavaliers, dropping 46 points on their defense. The LA Lakers defeated Cavs 115-108, keeping their road record perfect.

Tonight’s victory was the 10th on the road for the purple and gold, who are keeping their pace at a high level even though the season is still early.

Lakers were up 14-points in the second period, but the Cavs responded, getting a minimal lead late in the third, and early in the fourth. However, LeBron shifted into a higher gear in the last period, scoring 21 points, and pulling his LAL out of the problem. He would miss just one shot during that stretch, making several pretty tough attempts, which demoralized the Cavs’ defense.

Anthony Davis posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards. He also had three steals and blocks, with four dimes. Montrezl Harrell was solid off the bench with 15 points and six rebounds. Dennis Schroder and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope both had 10 points each.

The young Cavs fought bravely, and resisted well until James exploded. If it weren’t for his stellar sequence, the home team would have solid chances of getting this one.

Collin Sexton didn’t have a big night as he had recently, recording just 17 points with six assists and four boards, but his teammates Cedi Osman and Andre Drummond stepped up.

Turkish international Osman, had 20 points, shooting 6-for-11, making five threes. Drummond posted a strong double-double with 25 points and 17 rebounds, seven offensive. Darius Garland added 11 off the bench with five assists.

Unlike the previous years, the Cavs are looking competitive and able to enter the playoff race. Drummond’s arrival changed many things, and since the strong center landed in Ohio, this team looks much different. When Jarrett Allen adjusts to the new environment, the Cavs will have one of the most physical center lines in the NBA. Just to remind, JaVale McGee is also the part of the same.

Drummond’s former team, Detroit Pistons, will visit Cavs next, and after that, the team from Ohio has two matches away from home, in New York vs. Knicks and Minnesota against the Timberwolves.
