Amanda is our first-ever youth poet laureate, and at 22 years wise – she recited a powerful poem at the inauguration today. When I dream up what I hope to see and FEEL when looking at our next generation – it is her,’ Gabrielle began her post.

She continued and said: With grace, wisdom, and SOUL, she captured the words that America needed to hear. Growing up with a speech impediment did not impede her today as she called for unity and togetherness. In 2015 she published a book, The One for Whom Food Is Not Enough, and later this year is releasing Change Sings. I cannot wait to continue adding your name to my bookshelf. Let us lift her up in the light of goodness and hold her there.’
